BYD (Build Your Dreams) is a Chinese multinational founded in 1995 in Shenzhen by Wang Chuanfu. It began as a rechargeable-battery maker and entered the automobile industry in 2003, growing into the world's largest manufacturer of electric vehicles — overtaking Tesla in global battery-electric sales. BYD is famous for its Blade Battery (lithium-iron-phosphate) technology and extreme vertical integration: it builds its own batteries, chips, and semiconductors in-house. Its passenger lineup includes the Atto 3 SUV, Seal sedan, and Dolphin hatchback. In Pakistan, BYD partnered with Mega Motor Company (a Hubco subsidiary) to officially launch the Atto 3, Seal, and Dolphin, with local assembly plans underway — making genuine BYD EV parts, battery components, and service support increasingly important for Pakistani owners and workshops.
