PakAutoMart ("we," "our," "us") is committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information obtained from users of pakautomart.com. By using our platform, you consent to the data practices described herein.
This policy is framed in compliance with Article 14 of the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 (right to dignity and privacy), the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PECA) 2016, the Electronic Transactions Ordinance 2002, and the Personal Data Protection Bill 2021 (currently under legislation). 1. Information We Collect
Personal Information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, delivery address, and CNIC number (for seller verification). Business Information: For sellers, we collect business name, NTN/STRN numbers, bank account details (for payment disbursement), and business registration documents. Transaction Data: Records of purchases, sales, payments, and returns. Device and Usage Data: IP addresses, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and time spent — collected automatically via cookies and analytics tools. Communications: Messages exchanged through our platform messaging system.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data to: facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers; verify seller identities and business credentials as required by Pakistani commercial law; process payments through SBP-authorized channels; send order confirmations, shipping updates, and account alerts; improve platform functionality and user experience; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud and PECA violations; comply with legal obligations including FBR tax reporting requirements; and send marketing communications (only with your explicit consent, which you may withdraw at any time).
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share your information only in the following circumstances: With Sellers/Buyers — necessary order details (name, address, phone) are shared between transacting parties. Payment Processors — financial data shared with SBP-approved payment gateways (Jazz Cash, Easypaisa, bank partners). Logistics Partners — delivery address and order details shared with courier partners. Law Enforcement — we are legally obligated to disclose information to FIA, FBR, SECP, or other government authorities upon valid legal request under Pakistani law. Business Transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, data may be transferred to the successor entity.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
PakAutoMart uses cookies (small data files stored on your browser) to maintain your session, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and serve relevant content. We use both first-party and third-party cookies. You can control cookie settings through your browser settings, though disabling cookies may affect platform functionality. We use Google Analytics and similar tools compliant with applicable privacy standards.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, AES encryption for sensitive data at rest, role-based access controls, regular security audits, and intrusion detection systems. We conduct periodic security assessments and require all staff with data access to sign confidentiality agreements. However, no digital system is 100% secure. 6. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for five (5) years thereafter to comply with FBR tax record-keeping requirements under the Income Tax Ordinance 2001. Transaction records are retained for seven (7) years as required under the Companies Act 2017. 7. Your Rights
Subject to Pakistani law, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time; and lodge a complaint with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) or relevant regulatory body. 8. Children's Privacy
PakAutoMart is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we discover that a minor has registered on our platform, we will promptly deactivate the account and delete all associated data.

Our platform may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit. PakAutoMart is not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.
