Suzuki is a Japanese manufacturer founded in 1909 by Michio Suzuki in Hamamatsu, originally a loom maker before building its first car in 1955. It became world-famous for small, affordable, fuel-efficient cars — the Alto, Cultus, Swift, Wagon R, and the rugged Jimny 4x4 — and dominates Japan's kei-car segment while its Maruti Suzuki partnership made it India's largest carmaker. Suzuki is also a major motorcycle brand with a strong racing heritage. In Pakistan, Suzuki's story is inseparable from Pak Suzuki Motor Company, the country's longtime small-car market leader; the Mehran ran for nearly 30 years, and the Cultus, Alto, Swift, and Wagon R have been the default first cars of millions of Pakistani families. Even with new entrants, Suzuki retains enormous parts demand: genuine Alto, Cultus, Swift, and Wagon R consumables — clutches, brake pads, filters, shocks, and body parts — move in huge volumes through every bazaar parts shop, and Suzuki motorcycles (GD110, GS150) keep two-wheeler parts counters busy as well.
