How to Check Your CNG Cylinder Expiry Date in Pakistan

OGRA mandates that all CNG cylinders in Pakistan must be tested every 3 years and have a maximum life of 15 years. Here's how to check yours:

Where is the Expiry Date?

• Look for stampings on the neck/shoulder of the cylinder
• Format is usually: MM/YY TEST DATE and MFG YEAR
• For Type-1 steel cylinders: life is 15 years from manufacture
• Hydrostatic test required every 3 years

What the OGRA Stamp Means

Every OGRA-approved cylinder will have an OGRA certification number, the manufacturer's mark, and the test dates. Never use a cylinder that has an expired test date.
